My friends and I watched this movie last Tuesday. It's an Action/Adventure, Thriller and Politics/Religion movie at the same time. What I don't like about this movie is kinda morbid. And the central menace in this movie--- an airborne neurotoxin that causes mass suicides in the northeastern U.S. ---I just don't quite get it.
I like more M. Night Shyamalan's breakout hit, "The Sixth Sense". In this movie, he achieved just the right balance of creepiness, horror, supernatural thrills and pop psychology.
